The Hidden Tribe
Material: Real brown Moroccan leather, vintage wool Berber Zayan Hanbel.
Description: Hanbel is made through a flat-weave process whereby the weaver threads the weft back and forth through the wrap until the rug or pillow is finished.
Symbology: The left band is a chain of the birth symbol, It's supposed to portray the position of the woman while delivering.
The middle chain is made of the protective sign the Hamsa/ Camel foot imprint.
The knotted lines running between the bands are male elements. The weaver decided to change techniques between the male and female symbols as an added differentiation.
