The Hidden Tribe
Meaning: A term of respect
Material: Real Moroccan black leather, vintage wool Berber Zammour Hanbel, sequins.
Description: Hanbel is made through a flat-weave process whereby the weaver threads the weft back and forth through the wrap until the rug or pillow is finished.
Symbology: The first symbols that catch the eye are the three chains of diamonds, which are mainly representative of the female womb and pregnancy. The less obvious symbols are the Hamsa chains, a.k.a The camel foot imprint, considered a protective talisman. The sequins, little rounded metal mirrors are supposed to protect from the evil eye by reflecting the bad energies toward the person emitting them.
